Artown's 13th Annual Art Paws is Artown's "Only Bring Your Dog Day!"




Watch this!  A tail-wagging good time.

At Art Paws your pet has FUN!  "Pawprint" this date for our canine carnival-like event at this year's art Paws, Sun July 21st, 10am to 5pm, at McKinley Arts & Cultural Center, Reno, NV.


All the proceeds fetched go to The People's Choice local pet-related non-porfit, as voted on all day at Art Paws on Sun July 21st.


Come enjoy the animal art, pet people, wine and beer tastings, canine contests and demos.


Special guest is Hollywood animal trainer and author Joel Silverman, best known for his television show Good Dog U on Animal Planet and 15 years working with IAMS.  

Art Paws also features a free concert by The Smokin' Bulldogs Band!

Artown’s Only “Bring Your Dog Day”
 
RENO, NV – Artown’s 13th Annual Art Paws is the only summer fest focused on your dog!  Pets will frolic along the Truckee River, get their paws read by pet psychics, and admire their own animal art at, Sun July 21, 10am to 5pm. This year’s festival includes a specialty wine tasting, courtesy of l’uva Bella Wine Gallery, the “bone-a-fide beer garden,” pet contests, and live music from Reno’s Smokin Bulldogs Band.
 
Art Paws is Artown’s “Only Bring Your Dog Day!” Have doggie fun with your best furry friend!  Experience the wind behind their fur. Savor the joy of gourmet everything in the company of friends. Imprint their immortal soul on canvas. Gaze into a crystal ball with the aid of a psychic.   More than 100 local vendors will come together to celebrate all that is canine at Artown’s 13th Annual Art Paws.
 
As the only canine-friendly festival in Artown, Art Paws features products and services designed to uplift the canine mind, body, and soul – and help animals in need.  All proceeds from the event will benefit local non-profit pet organizations.   Attendees are invited to vote at Art Paws to determine which three local animal-aid agencies will fetch all this year’s money. 
 
 In 2012, the US Wolf Refuge, Feline Rescue of Northern Nevada, and SPCA of Northern Nevada were granted nearly $10,000.  


 
Artown is one of the nation’s most comprehensive arts and culture festivals, which takes place annually during the entire month of July in Reno, Nevada. In 2012, the festival featured more than 500 events - with over 66 percent offered free to the public - and attracted more than 300,000 people. With more than 160 partners, the month-long festival takes place at venues citywide. Artown receives major funding from the City of Reno, and is sponsored by U.S. Bank, NV Energy, Waste Management, Grand Sierra Resort, JLH Inc., Wild River Grille, KOLO 8 News Now, RGJ Media, KNPB-TV, KTHX-FM, KUNR-FM, with additional support from the Nevada Arts Council.
